After years in high-volume grooming environments, I built this business to do things differently. No rushing. No forcing. Just patience, safety, and trust.

My name is Murphy. I’m a Midwest kid who grew up rooting for the underdog. I was the kid feeding strays, raising tadpoles in the backyard, and sneaking lizards into my pockets because I couldn’t stand the idea of something so small getting hurt. I’ve always been a protector, and that’s exactly why this business was built.
Waggy Daddys LLC was born from both conviction and lived experience.
After many years as a professional groomer, it was only natural for me to become a safe hub for anxious dogs, seniors, and pets that needed an extra sprinkle of TLC. I’ve desensitized dogs that used to come out of shops shaking because I get it, and I would be scared too. That’s where training and passion come in, and it’s my job to ensure your pets’ safety, build trust, and have your furry family walking in confident and walking out tail wagging.
Shop after shop, I saw the same disconnect in grooming, and I learned how quickly compassion can get pushed aside in high volume environments.
I couldn’t keep watching animals I loved be pushed through a system built on profit and volume, with burnt out workers and people who are not cut out for grooming being handed a sharp instrument and an anxious dog. I know the amount of trust pet owners place in the people caring for their animals, and how deeply that trust can be broken behind closed doors. I knew I had to build something different, and I started this company to restore genuine trust by creating a model centered on humane handling, personalized care, and respect for every pet and person.
My vision is larger than grooming alone. I believe ethical pet care and strong community impact can go hand in hand. I want to help our local shelters get dirty dogs clean and into loving homes, create affirming opportunities for workers like me, provide livable wages and free hands on training, and help uplift blue collar labor in an industry where burnout and physical harm are too often disguised as part of the job.
Successful businesses do not have to be carried by harm and burnt out workers. Every part of Waggy Daddys is built from a big heart, a lifelong love for animals, and designed with the beaming imagination of that kid collecting lizards in their pockets.
